What Are You Waiting For – Go!!
It is truly amazing to see how our great God uses people from every walk of life to help glorify his name. He uses his children in so many different ways. The incredible thing is that right now as children of God we all have a gift. We do not have to wait for a burning bush to tell us to act. Each one of us has a purpose – something significant to offer. Yet we have a spiritual enemy that is constantly in our ear trying to talk us out of doing what our Father has called us to do. Satan tells us – You are not good enough, you don’t know enough about the Bible or with your past no one will listen to you. For me personally it’s – with your stammer no one can understand you. Well we shouldn’t let our advesary win and hold us back. Take these doubts captive grab control of your thoughts.
2 Corinthians 10:5
5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
So many of us feel too insignificant, too insecure, too broken or beat down from the cares of life. We often ask – Why would God use someone like me? GREAT NEWS!! God specializes in using people just like you. He uses people that are often over looked by the world to magnify his glory. Moses was slow of speech, David was just a shepherd boy, and Peter was broken down with sorrow – but God used each of these people in significant ways.
If you feel like you are not good enough you are right. The awesome part is that we don’t have to rely on our own confidence or our abilities. We can trust God’s abilities and the confidence only he can give. I know I sometimes need to be reminded of God’s promises. He has promised to never leave or forsake us. He has guaranteed his presence in our lives and promised to provide all we need.
19But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
I believe God knew what he was doing when he made you and put you in this world in this exact moment in history. What is God asking you to do today? Whatever it may be I encourage you to have faith and confidence – go. He will be with you. Just go and do something significant – make a difference.
